Rob Booher, Owner
After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree in Landscape Horticulture, Rob set out to find a career in the Landscape Construction Field. Rob landed with the premier firm Hidden Creek Landscaping, where he spent over 10 years learning all aspects of the business from estimation to installation, to his final role of managing the construction division for the company. It is because of this knowledge and experience that he ultimately decided to take the leap and begin his own Design Build Company focusing on quality builds and true client satisfaction. Rob works tirelessly to ensure that every vision of his clients becomes a reality and a space they can enjoy for years with their family.
Paula Russell, Office Manager
Paula is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in office management, construction coordination, and accounts payable/accounts receivable. With a career spanning several reputable organizations, Paula has demonstrated her commitment to excellence and is the backbone of Ottawa.
Paula’s educational foundation includes studies in Parks and Recreation at Muskingum Area Technical College, where she acquired valuable knowledge that contributes to her success in the landscaping and construction industry.
With a proven track record of leadership and expertise in office management, construction coordination, and account administration, Paula Russell is a valuable asset to the Ottawa team, bringing years of experience and a passion for excellence.
Doug Fortkamp, Maintenance Account Manager
Doug’s career reflects a blend of creativity, hands-on experience, and dedication to craftsmanship. He began studying Landscape Architecture at The Ohio State University, building a strong foundation in design, before graduating from the Culinary Arts program at Columbus State Community College. He spent more than 15 years in the restaurant industry, developing a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Doug later transitioned into the landscape industry, spending seven years at a local nursery working on landscape installations and gaining a deep appreciation for plant health, proper installation, and ongoing maintenance. He then spent 3 years working with a small landscape firm on large public space projects for the City of Dublin. After completing the projects, he managed maintenance operations teams for ten years with a large, local landscape design-build company.
In 2025, Doug joined Ottawa Landscapes, where he is the Account Manager for both commercial and residential properties. A Licensed Pesticide Applicator with a passion for healthy turfgrass, he is committed to creating landscapes that are both beautiful and sustainable.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad with his family, drawing inspiration from the landscapes he encounters.
