Nestled in the heart of the protected Mohican Park area, this stunning project takes full advantage of the natural beauty surrounding Pleasant Hill Lake. Since no new structures can be built in this area, the homeowners turned to Ottawa Landscapes to help transform their 1800s-era barn into a showstopping indoor-outdoor living and entertaining space.
Working alongside an architect, our team helped reimagine part of the existing barn to include a cozy interior complete with a living area, full bathroom, and kitchenette—perfect for guests and gatherings. Large folding windows open up to the outdoor space, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and the expansive patio outside. A custom bar and pass-through counter make serving drinks and food effortless.
Outside, the space is designed for serious grill enthusiasts. Whether it’s breakfast on the Blackstone, dinner on the gas grill, low-and-slow cooking on the Traeger smoker, or wood-fired pizza from the 700+ lb pizza oven, this backyard has it all. The generous hardscape patio provides ample room for hosting, while a built-in, in-ground hot tub offers the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the serenity of the property.
Future plans include a pool to complete this lakeside escape, making it the ultimate year-round destination for fun, food, and unforgettable memories.
