We’re thrilled to share that Ottawa Landscapes has been recognized with a Landscape Ohio! Award from the Ohio Landscape Association for our exceptional work on a residential project in downtown Columbus. This honor celebrates our team’s dedication to creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces and this project is a shining example.
Designed as a true urban retreat, the outdoor living space perfectly blends sophisticated design with everyday comfort. Starting at the front of the home, the landscaping was thoughtfully planned to highlight the architecture, making an unforgettable first impression. From there, a gated pedestrian entry invites you into a lush garden bursting with seasonal color, thanks to a curated mix of perennials, shrubs, and annuals designed for year-round impact.
A standout feature of this project is the elegant horse drift-wood sculpture, uniquely lit to serve as a striking focal point day and night. We used strategic landscape lighting to ensure it remains a showpiece after sunset.
At the heart of the space is a luxurious pool, flanked by a covered sitting area that offers shade and comfort for relaxing or entertaining. Just steps away, a custom fireplace surrounded by cozy seating makes the space equally enjoyable on crisp evenings.
To meet the homeowner’s love of fresh, homegrown food, we integrated raised vegetable garden beds, combining style with function. The project also features a hot tub, fully equipped outdoor kitchen, and ample seating areas, making it an ideal gathering spot for friends and family.
